There are so many options. Where do I start?

If you are just wanting to get your feet wet and see what this swing thing is all about, the best approach is to attend one of the major dances in the area. Many of these dances are preceded by a basic lesson to get you started. Go here for more information about these dances (including answers to questions like "what should I wear" and "can I come alone").
If you're thinking about pursuing this a little more seriously, you'll want to take a multi-week class with one of our area's many talented teachers. A multi-week class will give you the chance to learn something with some depth, especially if you take several multi-week classes in a row. You do not have to be part of a couple to take a multi-week class, since most classes will rotate partners, though taking a class with a member of the opposite sex will give you a definite practice buddy! Special events are also held throughout the year, featuring weekends full of dance and instruction by first class teachers from around the country.
