About Steven: Steven Mitchell started his dance career by studying Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Ballroom and Hip Hop in both Los Angeles and New York. He started Lindy Hopping / Swing Dancing 1978/1979 together with his partner Erin Stevens. They worked with Al Minns in New York 1982, and brought Frankie Manning out of retirement in 1986 by working together with him.
About Virginie: Virginie has over 20 years of dance experience that includes Jazz, Classical Ballroom, Swing, Ballet. Virginie began teaching Lindy Hop in 1997, and in 1999 paired up with Steven Mitchell to teach full-time internationally. Known for her unique style, spinning and connection, Virginie draws from her extensive dance experience to teach grace, frame and flash to the followers.

Registrants must take advantage of the all-in earlybird price of $125 USD before September 15 to get the lowest price.
All-In package includes admission to: Friday night class & dance, all Saturday and Sunday classes, and the Saturday night dance. The All-In package is the only package that includes both the Friday evening and Saturday evening dances with classes.

Update: The Friday evening class will be “Let Your Soul Shout Louder!,” a soul dancing class with Steven and Virginie. Last year was a blast so be sure to arrive by 8:15pm on Friday to start the party! The class will be followed by a swing and soul dance featuring DJs Rayned Wiles (DC) and Graham Marks (Alfred, NY).

Thursday, November 4 is the last day to register online for the Rochester Steven and Virginie workshop weekend! Online registration will close at midnight today (Thursday). Prices will be higher at the door, so save money and register now!

A few reminders:
- Arrive early for the soul dancing class on Friday night (8pm)
- Light food (bagels, apples, etc) will be provided during the workshops
- We’re dressing up for the Saturday evening dance and we hope you do too!
- Daylight Savings time change happens on Sunday morning, so we'll all have a whole extra hour of dancing (or sleep)!
